Saturday night was a great night at Riverside Speedway a PASS sanctioned track.  The weather was gorgeous at the beginning of the races, and although ominous clouds threatened, only a few drops fell all night.  Over 100 Cars were in the pits.  I changed the location of where I shoot my pictures, and wished Id done it a long time ago.  Check out the website to take a look at them, web address at end of article.

The Daredevil Rookies started the evening off.  Starting on the pole was the 3 of Lyndsay Dawson, with the 31 of Brent Ming outside.  Ming took the lead, as the 0 of Erin Hudson moved to the 2nd spot.  On lap 12 the caution flew for a spin in turn 1.  Ming took the initial lead, but Hudson came back to gain the lead.  On lap 14, Dawson and the 17 of Nick Miller get together sending Miller into the wall.  Miller was ok, but the car will need a little work before returning.  The restart was a single file restart.  Hudson took the win followed by Ming and Gilcris.

The Daredevil Veterans took the field next, the 93 of Cameron Bowen started up front, with the 07 of Manville Powers III outside.  Powers took the lead.  Bowen spins, but recovers nicely.  Kyle Pembroke in the 44 moved to 2nd, and the 5 of Jesse Swister moves to 3rd.  Pemroke took the lead on lap 4, and Switser overtakes 2nd, and the 77 of Brandon Lambert overtakes 3rd.  Pembroke takes the win, followed by Switser and Lambert.

The Street Stocks were the 3rd event of the evening.  The 02 of Tom Sokolis started on the pole, with the 07 of Bill Stebbins Jr. outside.  Sokolis took the lead, as the 95 of Alex Theroux moved to 3rd.  Michael Smith in the 22, and Mike McGee in the 1 get together on lap 5 bringing out the yellow.  Stebbins takes the restart, but Sokolis quickly regains the top spot.  On lap 6, the 76 of Brett Gervais shuts down.  Sokolis takes the lead on the restart, as Theroux moves to 2nd, and the 04 of Shawn Swallow overtakes 3rd.  Swallow overtakes the 2nd spot on lap 12.  The 74 of Kevin Whittum Jr. spins.  On the restart, Theroux and Swallow get together, and recover with Swallow taking the lead.  On lap 14, McGee goes over turn 1.  Swallow again takes the lead, and the 72 of Cody Hodge moves into 2nd.  Theroux regains 2nd on lap 19.  Swallow takes the win, and does a nice burnout in the back stretch, Theroux takes 2nd, and Hodge 3rd.

The Angels were up next.  The 41 of Vanessa Brown started on the pole, with the 1 of Jennifer Terrill outside.  Brown took the lead, and the 3 of Johanna Christman moved to 2nd, and the 13 of Mary Eastman moved to 3rd.  On lap 7, Miranda Gervais in the 6 moved into 3rd.  From lap 17 to 22, Gervais and Christman battled back and forth for the 2nd spot, with Gervais finally winning out.  Brown took the win, followed by Gervais and Christman.

Because of ever approaching clouds, the schedule was changed, and the Late Models took the field next.  Jeff Marshall, in the 32 started on the pole, with the 36 of Howard Switser outside.  Marshall took the lead, as Switser slides back.  Mark Baxter in the 48 brings out the caution.  The 10 of Brian Mason takes the lead on the restart.  On lap 3, the 3 of Mike Kenison moves to 3rd.  On lap 11, Kenison moves to 2nd.  The 1 of Corey Mason moves into 3rd.  On lap 19, Baxter, and the 98 of Jeff Wimble get together bringing out the caution..  Kenison takes the lead, as the 12 of Reno Gervais moves to 2nd.  Brian Mason loops the car on lap 22.  Gervais takes the restart.  The caution flies again on lap 25 as the 42 of Brian Greer goes around in the back stretch.  Gervais takes the lead, and Corey Mason moves to 2nd.   The red flag comes out on lap 31 as 5 cars get together and block the front stretch.  Involved in the pile up were: Wimble, Greer, the 14 of Nathan Brown, the 7 of Jean Leblanc, and the 69 of Donald Franklin.  Gervais again takes the lead, and the win.  He is followed across the stripe by Mason, and Kenison.

The Super Stocks were up next.  The 4 of Jerrad Ledger started on the pole, with the 7 of Matt Leblanc outside.  Ledger took the lead, as Denny Degreenia in the 8 moved to 2nd, and the 04 of Nate Swallow moves to 3rd.  Swallow overtook 2nd on lap 7.  On lap 21, Brian Gosselin in the 01 gets loose, and I believe blew a tire, almost recovers, but spins and gets into the 03 of Jason Kenison, sending Kenison into the end of the backstretch wall.  Ledger takes the restart and the win.  He is followed across the line by Swallow and Degreenia.

The final event of the night was the Cyclone Enduro.  With only 18 of them there I was able to keep track of them.  The 04 of Shaun Stetson started on the pole, with the 5 of Kristopher Russell outside.  Stetson took the lead, and the 32 of Chris Caron moved to 2nd.  On lap 3, the 20 of Charlie Rockwell moved to 3rd, and to 2nd on lap 5.  On lap 15, Rockwell took the lead.  The 33 of Josh Lafleur moved to 3rd on lap 21, and 2nd on lap 28.  On lap 33, the 13 of Luke Shannon moved to 3rd.  I was thinking this was going to be a flag to flag enduro, but on lap 45 the red flag came out as a car lost its wheel.  Rockwell took the win, followed by Lafluer and Shannon.  Rounding out the top 5 were the 88 of Anthony Hill, and Stetson.
